Link cloaking, also known as URL masking, is a technique that displays one URL in the browser’s address bar while actually loading content from another URL. It helps hide the real destination of a link.
When creating links, you will see an Options area at the bottom of the tab. In this doc, we will explain how to enable Link Cloaking.
Click on the Cloaking button.
If you want to enable link cloaking to hide the actual destination URL from showing up in the browser's address bar, check the Enable Link Cloaking checkbox.
If you would like to stop search engines from following your tracking link to the destination URL, check the Hide From Search Engines checkbox.
Don’t forget to click Save Changes once you are done!
When creating or editing a tracking link, you can set it up as apermanent or temporary redirect and also as a double meta refresh.
To select a redirect type please follow the steps below:
Click on Redirect Type.
Select one option.
a. A permanent redirect will tell search engines that your link is permanently redirected to its destination. This is good for SEO, but choose this only if you do not plan to change the destination URL in the future.
b. A temporary redirect (307) will tell search engines that your link is only temporarily redirected to its destination and may change in the future. This is not as good for SEO. Click on the Cloaking button.
c. Double Meta Refresh. Instead of redirecting the user directly from Page A → Page C, which would expose the referral source, a double meta refresh introduces an intermediate page (Page B) to "wash" the referrer information. Basically, it will hide where the traffic is coming from.

Enter the number of clicks you'd like the link to expire after, and choose whether this would be the number of total clicks (irrespective of repeat clicks by the same person) or unique clicks (only counting 1 click per person).
If you want to redirect them to a specific URL, after reaching the number of clicks, check step 4.
If you want to show a custom message after reaching the number of clicks, check step 5.
